Munchkin’s business card is short paws. Outwardly, they seem clumsy. But they are as mobile and able to jump, like cats with ordinary paws. By character, they are good-natured, peaceful and playful. They love to walk on a harness and are not embarrassed by their small stature.
The Munchkin breed is a result of a natural mutation. It happens long-haired and short-haired variations. Kittens with long legs can be born in the litter. Such kittens are called non-standard munchkins.
A non-standard munchkin is a long-legged munchkin born of one (Mm) or two short-footed (mm) parents. He is a carrier type. They do not take part in exhibitions, but have a pedigree about their origin and can be used in further breeding.
